When I started with Concordia College in January 2019, one of the first tasks I was assigned to was to recreate the previous Knowledge Base into something easier to navigate and read. The previous KB was extremely technical. A lot of the links were dead, and when the site was deleted from the server, most of the articles were lost.
I was shown Blackboard and spent a lot of time writing articles that detailed how to do everything in an easy to understand way. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and I knew the school would not be successful if even one professor felt frustrated or lost.
The Knowledge Base became even more important once we went fully remote for COVID in March 2020. I had to make sure every article could show even the least technical professor how to do anything at a moment’s notice.
When Concordia College shut down, my Knowledge Base was deleted, but my supervisor allowed me to save the articles I wrote. Please send me an email if you have any questions or comments. Thanks for reading!
